JJ Murphy City Manager gets the job done!

 

J.J. Murphy and Hobbs, New Mexico: A True Team

J.J. Murphy was once the city manager of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He grew up around the area and even went to college there. Later on, J.J. Murphy would obtain his Master’s degree at Marywood University in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area.

As a strong believer of serving the residents of a city, J.J. Murphy accomplished a good amount of work when he was the city manager of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  During his time working for the city of Wilkes-Barre, J.J. Murphy founded the GOALS consulting program. This program is currently running and assists with fields involving management, information technology, and green initiatives.

Additionally, J.J. Murphy improved the safety of the city by implementing new security systems in the downtown area. He improved the financial issues of the city which were occurring in Wilkes-Barre at the time. When he first started working in Wilkes-Barre, there was a $37 million deficit. Wilkes-Barre had a poor credit rating as well, but when J.J. Murphy left the city, it had an “A” rating and a twenty million dollar surplus.

Although J.J. Murphy has done plenty for the city of Wilkes-Barre, he decided to take his efforts to another city: Hobbs, New Mexico. These days, J.J. Murphy and New Mexico are strongly interlinked and J.J. Murphy is eager to do all that he can to manage the city effectively.  

Currently, J.J. Murphy has improved the community of Hobbs, New Mexico for the better in a few interesting ways. He has approved of an exciting new project in the city called Ocotillo Park Community Links. J.J. Murphy believes this will be a good way to bring the community of Hobbs, New Mexico closer together.

Aside from that, J.J. Murphy plans on updating the housing of Hobbs, New Mexico. J.J. Murphy and New Mexico are going to make history due to Murphy’s innate talent for city management.
